Tomoki - Keyboard
At the age of four, I started to practice of a piano. I, however, abandoned it in one year. At the age when I was in about the fifth grade of an elementary school, I felt that I wanted to play a piano again. So I had resumed to practice by myself using the musical score of my younger sister.
When I was a junior high school student, I was deeply impressed by the Beatles. Since then, I also started to compose my own songs. I had kept listening to westerner music until I became a high school students. However, after I knew the music of "Yuming" (Yumi Arai), I re-recognized Japanese pop music and became to listen to that. When I became a university student, I entered "Kei-on (Light Music)" circle activities as a first experience in my life, and I might well say that I actually began my music activities as a player. I joined a band which put original songs at center of its repertory as a keyboard player. During the same term, I had played in a pop-songs band for a female vocal, as well as in a "Fusion (Contemporary Jazz)" music band.
After I graduated a university and started my career of business, I had no longer afforded to earn time for music activities, gradually. I had been away from music for a while. After a blank of about 3 decades, I got a chance to reunion with my old music folks through the Facebook, so I resumed music activities. Although I am joining four bands now, I do well a few times of live performance every month. My favorite artists are Carole King, Billy Joel, Yumi Matsutoya, Tatsuro Yamashita and so on.
４歳の時、ピアノを習い始めるが、1年でやめてしまう。小学校高学年になると、再びピアノが弾きたくなり、妹の楽譜を使って独学で練習を続ける。中学生になるとビートルズに目覚め、作曲も始める。高校生になるまで洋楽ばかり聴いていたが、ユーミンに出会い、日本のポップスを再認識して聴くようになる。大学生になって、初めて軽音サークルに入り、本格的に音楽活動を始める。オリジナル曲中心のバンドの他、フュージョン系や女性ボーカルのポップス系のバンドでキーボードを担当し、演奏していた。社会人になってからは、だんだん音楽活動をする余裕がなくなり、しばらくの間音楽からは離れていたが、約30年間のブランクの後、フェイスブックを通じて昔の音楽仲間と再会したのをきっかけに、音楽活動を再開する。今ではバンドを４つ掛け持ちで、月に数回のライブをこなす。好きなアーティストは、キャロル・キング、ビリー・ジョエル、松任谷由美、山下達郎など。
Kei - Vocal & Guitar
I play an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar in the unit. Occasionally, I play a ukulele also, just a bit.
I had used to play classical masterpieces of piano for the years from a kindergarden up to a high school. I started to play a guitar in circle activities during university days. Since then, I have been of earnestness for a guitar. :-D
Probably because of such my youth days when I had spent much time for listening to "Rock" music of westerner, a "Rock Music Soul" of mine is still alive and well, which might in times have hindered my everyday life even today.
Even at what age, you can make yourself growth. Believing that if I keep passion in my mind, I could do much something as yet. I enjoy life of mine without care about age.
アコースティックギター、エレキギターを担当しています。ウクレレも、たまに弾きます(ほんの少し)。幼稚園から高校までクラシックピアノを弾いていましたが、大学のサークルでギターと出会い、それからは、ギター一筋(笑)。青春時代は洋楽のロックばかり聞いて過ごしていたせいか、今でもロック魂は時々健在で、日常生活に支障をきたしています。何歳になっても、成長はするもの。情熱さえあればまだまだやれる事は沢山あると信じて年齢を忘れて楽しんでいます。
Ayumi - Vocal & Guitar
I grew up in my childhood listening to much music, which might have been under some influence of my mother who loved chanson or film music. Then, I began to practice to play a piano from the age of six. I had anytime been a little singer. At the first occasion when I bought a music disk, merely for myself in my life, the song was titled as something like "A Drunk Man Who Has Just Got Back From The Heaven !" which was the song by The Folk Crusaders.
I was given a guitar when I was in the sixth grade of an elementary school. I had been singing folk songs along with books of song codes. Furthermore, I commenced creating songs of my own by myself. In a junior high school and through a high school years, I joined several groups in music club activities of such schools, in which I had been playing songs of "Akai Tori (The Red Bird)" or "Yosui Inoue". I, however, had gradually gone far off those activities at and around such age when I got into a university.
And, nearly thirty or more years had passed. It came to my mind that I would like to sing along with playing a guitar again. I have not been sure what was the cue for that, though. It led to date. Now, I am an active member of a music-related NPO. I have been involved in planning and management for various music concerts and events.
幼い頃から母の影響でシャンソンや映画音楽を聴いて育ち、6歳からピアノを習い始め、いつも歌っているような子どもでした。初めて自分の意思で買ったレコードは「フォーククルセダーズ」の「帰ってきた酔っぱらい」。小6の時にギターを買ってもらい、歌本のコードを頼りにフォークソングを弾き語りしたり、自分で歌を作ったりしていました。中学高校と音楽系のクラブで、グループを組んで「赤い鳥」「井上陽水」などを演奏していましたが、大学入学からそうした活動から遠ざかってしまいました。そして、30年余りの月日が流れ、何をきっかけにか、またギターを弾いて歌いたいと思うようになり、現在に至ります。また、音楽関係のNPO法人にも参加していて、様々な音楽イベントの企画運営にも携わっています。
